25A - What's next

Existing Market:
Interview 1: I interviewed a fellow friend named Jeffrey, who walks campus during the night and has had a handful of scary experiences at night. Jeffrey says that I should also focus on potentially adding some sort of alert system on the lights that monitors activity below during the night. Just having better lighting may help, but it is not guaranteed to make the streets safer for others at night. Other than this, he liked how
Interview: 2: The second interview I conducted was of an engineer who I came across at the library, and he seemed to be more interested in the mechanics of the lightbulb of course, which I gave him the best of my knowledge how it worked. He said that he thought it was a great idea, yet he had never experienced any problems with poor lighting since he lives in a well-lit house.
Interview 3: My final interview was actually someone that works for the city of Gainesville. Maintenance is the department in which she works, and he says that the product we have created appears to be neat after I showed her. However, she does not work within the electricity department and does not know what the current spreadsheet looks like for electricity. She says that we should focus on how we will address the department and schedule a meeting with the coordinator of affairs downtown.

  1. Jason, the interviews you conducted seemed to be in favor of your current market. They provided some good ideas to enhance what you have existing. When I reached out to people who were not in my existing market I was given advice that may potentially change my business plan.

  2. Hey Jason. I agree with the first person you interviewed. I can see how walking around campus or even slightly off campus can be scary or intimidating. This would be a great application of your product. It was good that you were able to interview someone who worked for the city of Gainesville. I can tell they were able to provide information and insight in how to get it implemented into the city.

  3. Hey Jason, I see that two of your interviews were in support of your idea and seem to reinforce the existence of said market. However, I think your interviews could have been narrowed down to focus more on people who work within the field that your venture exists within. This means that perhaps you could have gotten another electrical worker or someone of the sort to interview.
